Dominika Sadowska and Karol Stolarek are artists working to create a simulation of space as perceived from the perspective of an audio device. This device becomes a source of sound waves of specific frequencies, which influence the materiality of images/objects and movement. The unconscious cognitive subject affects the object of cognition. Objects, matter, sound, and the tone of light shape a space that offers the viewer a possibility for experience.
The prototype of this immersive environment dissolves the boundary between viewer and artwork, between reception and participation. This conceptual "freeze frame" from the event captures the moment of matter's degradation. A sound signal, emitted at timed intervals below a certain frequency, fills the shared space and holds everything within it in a state of tension?as raw material.
The exhibition will also feature recorded prosthetic thoughts of the device, which, for the purposes of the event, has been named Witness.
